Editorial Policy
daubday's guides are here to help you color more comfortably and to tell the stories behind our themes. We would rather publish fewer guides that are accurate and useful than many that repeat what is already everywhere. This page explains how they are made.
Who writes the guides
Guides are written and maintained by realmojo, who builds and runs daubday. Each guide shows its author, the date it was first published and the date it was last updated.
Instructions are tested in the app
When a guide explains how to do something on daubday, such as zooming into small areas, using Hint, or choosing photo settings, the steps are checked against the current version of the site. When the app changes, the affected guides are updated and their update date changes.
History and culture come from published references
Guides about the traditions and subjects behind our themes, such as mandala, jogakbo, dancheong or koi, are based on encyclopedias, museum collections and other published references. They are listed under References at the end of each guide so you can read further. Where accounts differ, or a story is legend rather than record, we say so.
About the pictures
The pictures on daubday are drawn by our own code, not traced from other artists' work. Themes inspired by Korean tradition are simplified, playful interpretations, not copies of specific historical objects.
Use of AI tools
We sometimes use AI writing tools to help draft, translate or proofread text. Before a guide is published, a person checks it against the app and the listed references, and we take responsibility for everything it says.
Advertising and independence
daubday is free and supported by Google AdSense ads. Advertisers do not pay for, review or influence guides, and we do not publish sponsored articles or paid links. Ads are served and labeled by Google, separately from our content.
Health and wellbeing
Coloring can be a calm way to spend some time, and some of our guides talk about that. They are not medical or psychological advice, and we avoid claims that coloring treats any condition.
Corrections
If you find a mistake, an outdated instruction, or a claim that needs a source, email hello@daubday.com with the page address. We check every report, correct the guide when needed, and update its date.
